About CBPR	English (USA)
The Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) e-mail community was created through a partnership between Community-Campus Partnerships for Health (www.ccph.info) and the Wellesley Institute (www.wellesleyinstitute.com) to serve the growing network of people involved and interested in CBPR and other types of community-academic research partnerships. People from community organizations, colleges and universities, public and private funding agencies, decision makers and policy makers, and others are all encouraged to subscribe. We hope this listserv provides a resource for sharing knowledge and experience and contribute to strengthening the field of CBPR and ultimately improving the health of communities. We welcome postings on CBPR and other types of community-academic research partnerships that provide: * information (e.g. about conferences, funding opportunities, or publications relevant to CBPR), and * discussion, sharing of ideas, collaborative problem-solving, and substantive queries or comments addressing issues relevant to CBPR partnership development and sustainability, research methodologies, funding strategies and resource sharing. Please note: if you use the listserv to ask a question or seek input, please indicate in your message that you will compile and post a summary of responses so everyone will benefit from the info gathered. If you use the listserv to conduct a survey or solicit participants in a study, please indicate (a) whether it has been reviewed & approved by an Institutional Review Board or other ethics review mechanism to protect human participants and if not, why not (either in the email itself or on the first page of the survey) and (b) that the findings/results will be shared on the listserv so everyone can benefit from the information gathered. Please note: we discourage the use of unexplained acronyms and subject lines that do not clearly indicate the content of the email message and may reject your posting as a result. We will always explain the reason for a rejected message, however, so you can correct it and re-send it. Subscribing to CBPR
Subscribe to CBPR by filling out the following form. This is a closed list, which means your subscription will be held for approval. You will be notified of the list moderator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members.
